The Uganda North American Medical Society Health Fair was established to improve access to preventive healthcare services for Ugandans living in the diaspora. In partnership with the Uganda North American Association, UNAMS launched its inaugural health fair on August 30, 2025, during the 37th Annual UNAA Convention and Trade Expo at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Health Fair reflects UNAMS’ commitment to promoting healthier communities and creating a lasting culture of wellness among Ugandans in both diaspora and abroad. As shared by Dr. Agnes Nambiro-Kasolo, this initiative marks “the start of a new chapter in prioritizing the health of Ugandans in the diaspora,” with the vision of making health fairs a regular feature at future UNAA conventions.
